UK Skilled Worker visa

A confirmed UK job offer and certificate of sponsorship from the employer are required before applying.

The employer must be approved by the Home Office to sponsor this route.

The job's four-digit occupation code must qualify; some medium-skilled roles qualify only through specified lists or transitional cases.

Pay must meet the threshold applicable to the role and circumstances; the usual test uses the higher of a general threshold and the occupation's going rate, with separate rules for some cases.

English in reading, writing, speaking and listening normally must be proved by an accepted route; the current general standard for a first application is CEFR B2, subject to exemptions and transitional rules.
