Canadian Experience Class
For applicants with recent qualifying skilled work experience in Canada. Meeting the program minimums permits entry to the Express Entry pool but does not guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
Core requirements
At least 1 year (1,560 hours) of authorized, paid Canadian work in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 within the 3 years before applying. Self-employment and work gained as a full-time student generally do not count toward the minimum.
An approved English or French test is required. TEER 0 or 1 requires CLB/NCLC 7 in all four abilities; TEER 2 or 3 requires CLB/NCLC 5.
There is no minimum education requirement, though education may still affect Express Entry ranking.
A job offer is not required.
Canadian Experience Class applicants do not need to meet the proof-of-funds minimum; if the system requests a document, follow the official instructions for an explanatory letter.
